Your Instructors
Chandra
Chandra has studied under Kimara and also Johanna (of Hip-Expressions).  She has taken workshops and intensives with Alexandra King, Dalia Carella, Suhaila Salumpor, Rachel Brice (as well as both Zoe and Mardi Love of the Indigo - individually), Arwyn of troupe Tribalations!, Amy Sigil of Troupe UNMATA, and certified Caberet under Ansuya.
As owner of Beledi Bay Studio she hopes to open new venues and performing opportunities for dancers.  She is also realizing her dream of helping to create beautiful, trained dancers, and furthering her own creative endeavers.


Kimara
Kimara is a partner in Beledi Bay Studio and its lead instructor.  She has studied bellydance intermittently for 27 years -- having first learned to belly dance as a young girl under the tutelege of her aunt, Yohara.  Kimara has taught and danced professionally since 2002, dances regularly at Greek Village Restaurant (in Seminole) as well as at parties, festivals and corporate events.  Her shows are high energy, humorous and family friendly.  Kimara's classes are both fun and challenging.  She blends a variety of world styles into her shows and choreographies.  Her mantra, as quoted by her aunt Yohara, is "Dance is flying without wings".


Alhena
Alhena has been dancing for 8 years, having studied Cabaret and more recently Tribaret.  She has taken workshops with Jim Boz, Aziza, John Compton, and Rebaba.  Alhena has devoted herself to continue a study of a full range of dance styles within Middle Eastern Dance.
Alhena teaches our Foundations and Beyond the Basics classes, will be heading up our Grand Goddess classes for mature students (age 55 and over), and would like to begin a youth class (age 8-16)



Mahara
Mahara has been bellydancing for over 6 years, specializing in Cabaret style.  She has a great love of belly dance and hopes to pass this love onto students taking her classes.  Her dance background that includes ballet, tap, jazz and modern.  Mahara performs regularly as part of a troupe as well as a solo dancer.


I'eana
I'eana started Middle Eastern dance in 1994 and Polynesian in 1996 (soon after she began to entertain as a student performer with local businesses and organizations).  She began performing professionally as a Middle Eastern dancer in 1996 and Polynesian in 1997.  Since then she has danced for local cruises, nightclubs, corporate functions, charity events and other parties.  I'eana continues to dance as a solo performer, within a troupe as well as for DJ's and local bands.  I'eana will be instructing in both Middle Eastern and Polynesian dance.  Her easy going demeaner and gentle approach is a definate hit with all who know and dance with her.
